Hello Everyone!!
I hope all is well and everyone had a relaxing weekend.
So I was down in Texas at the 2018 USA Senior Judo Nationals. Allthoughh it wasn’y the outcome I wanted, I placed 2nd in a very tough division. Winning 3 of my matches and loosing 1 to The current World Champion.
As I am getting over the loss (I Hate Loosing), I’ll now reflect on the good and what needs work.
Here’s the good. I won all 3 of my matches by pins. I threw, then landed into a pin and put a lot of pressure. So my BJJ training absolutely helped. This is something I would have never done in the past.
Here’s the bad. I needed more movement and better gripping while standing.
Here’s the great thing about BJJ & Judo. You learn to face adversity and learn from your mistakes.
That’s why it’s so important to get your kids involved. What you learn in BJJ & Judo translates into life.
We now have a kids class on Mon, Wed and Saturday. It’s only $50/month for all three classes.
OK THis week is NO GI
Have a great week
